Finance & Commercial Manager (80-100%)

In this position, you will act as the finance and commercial business partner to the LD Manager.
You will co-drive the direction and success of the Turbo organization by actively contributing to effective decision making based on profound finance insights and distinct business acumen.
Oversight of all finance, commercial and fiduciary matters you will sustainably optimize business performance and financial position.
You will represent to company externally and ensure compliance with all legal requirements and internal policies.
**Responsibilities**:
Strategy
- Contributes to the definition of the strategy for the local division.
Serves as the key partner for the LD Manager in determining strategy for area of responsibility, aligning with the wider Turbo strategy, and final implementation.
Maintains constant contact with relevant other managers regarding financials, market and customer situation, operations, and commercial outlook.
Business planning and forecasting
- Translates strategy into business plans and establishes measurable targets.
Coordinates and oversees the business planning and estimating process for the area of responsibility.
Evaluates financial implications of various strategic decisions, builds scenarios, and initiates corrective actions incl.
required follow ups.
Business performance and decision support
- Monitors progress achieved and provided insights and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Leverage the power of financial and nonfinancial data to understand value drivers in the LD.
Identifies issues and advises local management peers on action plans and operational strategies to resolve.
Drives appropriate cost structure/control/reductions, productivity optimizations, and capital efficiency to ensure value creation.
Manages and closely monitors the cash flow and takes action to improve Net Working Capital.
Analyzes customer and product/agreement profitability.
Commercial and risk management
- Identifies and communicates commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions.
Executes risk/contract reviews in line with global policies and standards to minimize commercial and financial risks and exposure.
Closely monitors and follows up on overdue to minimize default risk.
Stewardship of company's assets (e.g.
Real Estate, local representative towards insurances).
Group financial reporting and business information
- Establishes and oversees processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information.
Ensures high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined local statutory and Group-wide standards as well as financial closing schedules.
Accounting and local statutory reporting
- Coordinates and ensures accurate financial bookkeeping in accordance with locally accepted accounting principles and US-GAAP, to be executed by an external trustee.
Ensures the on-time preparation of correct statutory financial statements also by means of the aforementioned trustee.
Tax
- Ensures preparation and filing of correct tax returns such as income tax, VAT and WHT by means of an external trustee.
Continuously monitors changes in local tax legislation and assesses their implications together with local and global experts.
Governance, compliance, internal controls, and audits
- Establishes and maintains a local governance in line with corporate standards, regulations, policies, and legal requirements.
Ensures transparency in group and statutory financial reporting and disclosures.
Executes internal controls regarding financial and defined non-financial operations.
Coordinates external audits and actively supports internal audits.
Communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensures timely and efficient communication with relevant Group/Hub/Country stakeholders (e.g.
Hub/LD Manager, HEUS, GPG Controller, COE) to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality and efficiency for area of responsibility.
Represents Turbo vs external stakeholders such as authorities, banks, insurance brokers and auditors.
Communicates the findings and recommendations of local auditors to the appropriate organizational bodies and initiates required actions for remediation.
People management
- Develop finance talent within direct and/or functional leadership dimension as part of own succession plan.
Systems and tools
- Act as local ERP power user.
Your background
- University degree in Finance/Controlling/Accounting.
- Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, ICAEW, ICAS, CPA, CIMA).
- Work experience: 7-10 years in total, thereof at least 4 years of experience in Audit (Big4 preferred) and further experience from controlling/accounting functions in an international environment (industrial background is an asset).
- Strong financial background, structured and result oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Experience in SAP (FI and CO, SD and PS are a plus) and excel
