About the Role
As our Enterprise Risk Manager, you'll take the wheel in overseeing the internal and external reporting procedures of risk metrics, and create actionable insights for various Risk teams. You’ll establish a rigorous risk governance program that’ll be rolled out to our management and stakeholders across all Gojek’s operating countries. Working closely with all product areas and functions on proactive risk identification and evaluation, you'll also manage the effectiveness of controls, and cultivate a risk management culture centered around trust and confidence amongst external stakeholders. Your efforts will directly bolster the continuous improvement of our platform integrity aimed at further amplifying users’ trust perception of Gojek, ensuring a safe platform they can count on and love to come back to.
What You Will Do
Develop risk governance and compliance initiatives/programs to reduce the exposure of Financial, Business, People, Legal and Regulatory interruptions and risks
Drive collaboration amongst stakeholders and business risk representatives to mitigate/ reduce risks that have the potential to hinder the Company’s performance and risk responses
Be the go-to person for the Enterprise Risk Management team in the risk management process to define frameworks, policies, Key Risk Indicators, risk management processes, and iterations to incorporate leading practices in the framework
Create, develop, and maintain the risk and compliance playbook for the business team to review
Drive effective and efficient company-wide risk assessment and mitigation programs
Establish and enforce multiple lines of defense
Cultivate a customer-centric risk culture that champions a pro-active, efficient, sustainable, and effective Enterprise Risk program
What You Will Need
At least 8 years of related experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Advance knowledge in Governance, Risk and Compliance related issues, and strong knowledge in recent compliance issues across industries / payment services
Ability to communicate and explain information and changes that may impact the external customers
Ability to escalate issues to managers and relevant internal stakeholders
Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail in order to quickly identify problem points, foresee potential breaches, and always be several steps ahead of the game
Strong interpersonal communication and multi-tasking skills in order to effectively install and stabilize new management processes and spearhead risk discussions amongst stakeholders of various levels
Basic working knowledge in SQL
Experience working with Board/Management level Risk committees will be plus

Our objective as Gojek’s Risk Team is to ensure a safe and trusted platform that our users can trust, rely on, and love to come back to. Our team consists of multinational and multi-background individuals, working together to anticipate and predict potential threats to our platform, design and build tools to fight against and mitigate these threats, and implement and enforce these systems at scale. We partner closely with several cross-functional teams to ensure safe and secure transactions for our users, our Gojek businesses, and our extended ecosystem.
Our team is constantly working on projects that continuously bolster our platform, maintain Gojek’s overall integrity, and improve the resilience of our ecosystem across all the countries and regions we operate in. This is a particularly exciting time to join our family as we’re focused on scaling this team to support Gojek’s growing markets, businesses, and future product launches, propelling our services to all corners of the globe. The questions that are always in the back of our minds are: How do we push the envelope in bolstering our risk mitigation efforts, making them stronger than their last iterations, and how can we effectively increase risk awareness throughout all factions of our company?
When we aren’t busy fighting potential risks and fraud on our Gojek platform, you’d probably find us binge-watching Netflix shows, testing out new food spots around town (mostly ordering in to social distance), and chatting about our coming week on our weekly Zoom calls. Once COVID subsides, we’re excited to be able to meet and socialize over a meal again.
