**Job Title**: Engineering & Maintenance Manager (Food Manufacturing) - For Deployment to NZ
**About the job**:
We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, result or goal-oriented senior leader with many years of experience in pet food or food manufacturing and proven leadership skills.
The role will be responsible to coordinate, and oversee all technical and engineering activities of Addiction Foods manufacturing plant.
This includes directing, coordinating and exercising authority in planning, organizing, leadership and completion of engineering services and projects in order to support daily production, process improvement and identify necessary equipment and process to produce quality products.
Responsibility also includes concept and feasibility studies through detailed engineering design, overseeing construction, commissioning and providing integrated maintenance services.
The role is part of the senior leadership group within the company, so an influential and key position within the company.
**Key duties and responsibilities**:
- To provide leadership and support to the multi-disciplined engineering team
- Provide leadership and overall direction of the activities of the process, project and maintenance engineering functions in the company
- Facilitate robust, cost efficient, safe technical and engineering processes and structures consistent with standard methods of work utilizing lean manufacturing principles
- Review work and projects for technical accuracy
- Establishes, implements, and maintains engineering and administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
- Responsible for the repair and renovation needs of the plant facilities and equipment and as well as ensuring uninterrupted supply of all utilities such as electricity, water steam, and compressed air which is vital to operations.
- Manage departmental and capital budgets
**Key Requirements and Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in the engineering field; preferably with Master's degree in Engineering management, technical management, or Business Administration.
- Strong and proven senior leadership experience; minimum of 5 years' experience in similar or higher capacity in pet food or food manufacturing or related industry
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with extensive knowledge in engineering practices and principles as well as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems.
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
- Great time management
- Teambuilding, motivational, and interpersonal skills to manage a team and other stakeholders
- Ability to give constructive criticism
- Ability to make decisions quickly
- Detail-oriented for understanding complex systems and the ability to pay attention to details, as a minor error can result in major problems.
- Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees and schedules simultaneously.
