Public Relations Manager is responsible to assist the Director of Public Relations to position, promote and enhance awareness of the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta as the local market leader and Kempinski as one of the world’s finest hotel groups.

Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta is located next to the iconic Bundaran HI (Hotel Indonesia Roundabout) fountain at the heart of the city’s main shopping, business and lifestyle district. Its 289 rooms and suites offer grand views of Jakarta city, and the hotel boasts an array of amenities that caters to conventions and weddings as well as a broad collection of restaurants and bars. Key Responsibilities:
Play significant role in developing Public Relations budget. Assist with key media at the directive of the Director of Public Relations to generate the highest level of positive coverage for the hotel. Develop internal communications strategies to foster loyalty within Public Relations network and within the hotel. Initiate and arrange selected individual journalists and group press trips. With guidance from the Director of Public Relations, take responsibility for story development and pitching for specific Public Relations projects. Contribute to public relations strategy. Research, draft and coordinate the distribution of selected press releases, as well as translate press releases to English. Ensure all press releases are up-to-date, accurate and accessible by media. Answer surveys and inquiries from media. Assist and help coordinate Public Relations projects, including but not limited to: Sponsorship Award events Corporate press conferences and press events, both local and overseas Assist public relations support of Corporate Social Responsibility Committee initiatives. Coordinate between hotel and regional/corporate Public Relations offices and agencies whenever necessary. Attend appointed events and functions as Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta representative when required. Assists to develop social media strategies and messages for the year; monitors fans’ comments and provides relevant responses, when required. Plan and develop internal staff newsletter where appropriate. Contribute to my.kempinski.com to share best Public Relations practices, the best practices can be events e.g. photo competition, new restaurant launch, renovation, successful press trip, this provides a channel for inter-hotel learning and also creates motivation. Provide administrate support for communications office in the absence of a coordinator.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor degree Having min. 3 years’ experience in Hotel Public Relations Department or Media Agency (preferably from 5* Hotel) Proficient understanding of the Public Relations Principle fundamentals, concepts, tools and practices Excellent copy writing skills Experience in developing and running Public Relations campaigns and their analysis Proven project management skills Experience in contract negotiations Adaptability, Energetic, and Thrive Under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills both English and Bahasa Excellent skills in Microsoft office Knowledgeable related to creative programs such as photo-shop, in-design, etc is a plus
