**BACKGROUND**Yayasan Hutan Biru (YHB) or also known as Blue Forests was established in Yogyakarta in 2011 as a replacement and successor to MAP Indonesia's programs, which was previously named the Yayasan Akar Rumput Laut (YARL), which was formed in 2001. YHB is a non-partisan, non-profit, non-governmental organization with the main principle and basis of preserving ecosystems holistically and systemically in coastal areas and watersheds to respond to world concerns about the decline in environmental quality through participatory activities.YHB facilitates ideas and information exchanges regarding mangrove conservation, alternative livelihood development, and environmental education. YHB uses a participatory action research approach and problem-solving process based on the "local to global to local" paradigm. This process is known as participatory action research and problem-solving, contained in all YHB programs. To achieve this, YHB has three interrelated objectives, including:- Understand the community, environmental problems, and the characteristics of the watershed and coastal areas, and provide practical experience in social, economic, and ecological research related to watershed (watershed) and coastal areas.- Promote intercultural communication and understanding to foster awareness of the global context that departs from local environmental issues and the importance of a cultural perspective in selecting effective problem-solving strategies.- Take local action to improve river basins' and their communities' social, economic, and ecological conditions. This action can be done through community organizing with an emphasis on gender issues (social strengthening), development of small and medium enterprises based on sustainable use of watershed resources (economic strengthening), rehabilitation of ecological habitats, and development of sustainable watershed and coastal management, adaptive and collaborative (environmental reinforcement).YHB has implemented several programs to achieve the goals and vision above. These programs run various approaches such as Ecological Mangrove Rehabilitation (EMR), Coastal Field School (CFS), Environmental Education (PLH), policy advocacy, livelihoods and business development in the coast and sea, LESTARI villages, and several other approaches.**OBJECTIVE**Digital Communication Assistant manages the organization's communication products for publication on social media and websites as well as helps in analyzing data needed for various purposes.**TASKS**- Create engaging and relevant content to be posted on various social media platforms and websites. This content can be in text, images, videos, or infographics format by ensuring that the content follows the YHB brand and organization's message in the YHB branding documents and social media protocols.- Plan, create, and manage daily or weekly posts on social media and websites.- Monitor and respond quickly and professionally to the audience's comments, questions, or feedback.- Collect data, analyze success metrics such as number of followers, engagement rates, or conversions, and compile them as reports to provide insight into strategy effectiveness and recommendations for improvement.- Assist in making the organization's communication and knowledge product for publication on social media and website or to be printed.- Other tasks assigned and agreed with the supervisor.**EXPECTED RESULTS**- Content published on YHB social media and website based on the plan.- Managed responses on social media and websites with adherence to good social media rules.- Data and analysis results of YHB social media and website.- Annual activity report of YHB social media and website.**Qualification**- Education_Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) in Communication, Forestry, Maritime Affairs, Social Sciences, or other relevant fields.- Experience_Fresh Graduate with relevant campus/ social activities, or internship experience- Competencies_- Fluently in Indonesian and English (written and verbal)- Have an interest in environmental issues and empowering coastal communities- Have a good understanding of social media.- Have the ability to think creatively to create interesting, original, and relevant content- Have good and interesting copywriting skills- Has the ability to edit photos and videos- Able to work independently or with a team in coordinating activities between various parties.- Have good analytical and problem solving skills.- Willing to work in the field if needed.- Attach a portfolio contained social media, writing, design, and/or video works.**How to Apply****Job Types**: Contract, Fresh GraduateContract length: 8 monthsAbility to commute/relocate:- Makassar: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)Application Deadline: 07/27/2023
