The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) Technical/Solid Waste will support the project's Chief of Party (COP) with all technical solid waste management aspects of the program.- Manage the Solid Waste Reduction and Solid Waste Treatment Teams - oversee their tasks as well as subconsultants' technical work
- Implement the project's solid waste management strategy, in consultation w/USAID and stakeholders
- Support the COP with all technical work between USAID, government counterparts, project stakeholders
- Support the COP with reporting—including technical reporting to USAID
- Oversee development, delivery, capacity building, and monitoring of subgrantees.
- Assist the COP in maintaining active and cooperative relationships with all key stakeholders, including government officials, project partners, other implementing agencies, and related institutions.
- Represent the project and the organization in the public and ensuring the distribution of information about project achievements and lesson learned.
- Support project staff by creating and maintaining a work environment that promotes teamwork, trust, mutual respect, and empowers staff to take responsibility.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Master's degree in solid waste management, urban planning, recycling or related discipline
- 10 years demonstrated project experience in solid waste management, urban planning, and other relevant technical areas in Indonesia
- 5 years as a technical expert or lead for multidisciplinary donor-funded programs
- Experience in capacity building for solid waste management programs
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Fluent in Bahasa
