Custom Clearance Manager

Job Description Responsible for the company's merchandise importation and exportation, collaborating with relevant agencies such as customs, inspection and quarantine authorities, airline cargo stations, inland container depots, and port authorities.
Handle approval and declaration matters related to import and export business.
Interpret customs policies and declaration standards.
Familiarize with local fiscal and taxation policies, including customs policies of Batam and Semarang Free Trade Zones.
Identify customs risks, implement corrective and preventive measures, and lead planning for import and export business models to improve customs clearance efficiency and optimize costs.
Track the progress of customs clearance and assist in resolving issues during the process.
Develop solutions to optimize customs clearance procedures.
Develop customs clearance strategies with agencies, source quality resources among customs agencies, coordinate during bidding processes, and oversee fulfillment and performance management.
Create SOPs for customs operations, identify risks, and implement risk control measures to enhance SLA.
Coordinate with departments such as SCM, international transport, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and warehouses.
Manage transportation, supervise operations, and handle any abnormal issues during transit.
Ensure timely completion of operations in systems.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the leader.
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in international trade, logistics management, or related fields.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa; Chinese language skills are a plus.
Over 5 years of customs-related experience, with a thorough understanding of local customs laws, import/export procedures, and practical experience in handling customs declaration and inspection issues.
Knowledge of international cargo transportation, logistics management, and trade policies; experience with bonded logistics and tax exemption policies is advantageous.
Industry connections with local customs and relevant authorities are preferred.
Excellent communication skills, strong service orientation, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure.
