About the Role As our Corporate Tax Controller Manager, you will be a key cog in the Tax team "wheel" of Gojek that directly impacts Gojek’s stakeholders. In this role, you will get to maintain and oversee all tax-related documents for tax audits. The wider Gojek Finance Accounting team will be your companions during this ride. What You Will Do
Direct a variety of tax-related activities in accordance with the overall tax strategy to ensure that the organization meets its tax obligations and objectives; these activities include: tax planning, research, compliance, tax submissions, reporting and filings, auditing, and communicating with external tax agencies
Help to manage tax audit process and timely engage relevant stakeholders, including consultants to support the process including data collection and timely escalation of issues to relevant stakeholders
Select and manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisers (i.e. tax advisers) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
Evaluate the organizations current or proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions to ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations
Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for corporate estimate liabilities
Evaluate and advise on the automation of tax payment, reporting and reconciliation process
Ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time for the group
What You Will Need
At least 5 years of combined experience in Big4 consultant
Experience working with tax compliance systems
Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and Bahasa Indonesian
A team player that is used to operating cross-functionally and across different jurisdictions/cultures
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and high-growth organization
Open to challenging projects outside areas of experience or comfort zone/scope
About the Team
Our Tax team, a subsidiary of the Finance Accounting and Tax team, consists of around 25 people who are all based in Indonesia. Working alongside the Finance controller, we are predominantly concerned with ensuring all tax regulations have been followed properly, and maintaining that tax compliances are regulated. If you have any questions about finance, accounting, or tax, we are your people!
Our team is a tight-knit family made up of bookworms, tea lovers, and (guilty??) reality show watchers. We work hard and play hard, and believe it or not, we actually enjoy each other’s company!
