Communications Manager - Indonesia

Meta is seeking an experienced Communications Manager, fluent in Indonesian and English (both oral and written) to join their Indonesia team.
Both a team player and self-starter, proactive, and driven in nature, you will be comfortable working independently as well as partner closely with internal and external stakeholders.
With a real passion for Indonesia, your knowledge of local governments and public policy will be a plus.
You will demonstrate the maturity to offer strategic counsel to multiple business leaders and create communications campaigns that bring together strategy, creativity and flawless execution across a number of projects at once.This role is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
**Communications Manager - Indonesia Responsibilities**:

- Lead and execute communications strategies and initiatives to support Meta's product, business, policy and consumer efforts in Indonesia
- Work cross-functionally with policy, product, monetisation and other international Communications team members to manage media opportunities and broader programs
- Manage complex crisis and issues quickly and strategically
- Identify and pitch positive press stories in mainstream, consumer and advertising trade media
- Identify content-first and social opportunities and execute across Meta's social/content channels
- Prepare briefing materials and manage executive spokespeople during media interviews and at industry events
- Educate press, bloggers, and creators about Meta, relevant products and initiatives
- Provide comms counsel and support for business leaders
- Manage agency support

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is preferable
- 12+ years of professional experience, both agency and in-house preferred
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Has good media relationships and media relations skills
- Ability to write and communicate in simple, clear narratives and messaging
- Has a good grasp of communications strategies and aptitude in deploying them
- Outstanding judgment and persuasive skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
