**Position Summary**:
Cloud Security Engineer builds, maintains, upgrades, and continuously improves cloud-based systems and is responsible for the operations of secure cloud infrastructure, platforms, and software.
**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**:
The Cloud Security Engineer is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:
- Responsible for input and feedback on security architectures.
- Direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams in implementing and operating Cyber Security controls.
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to deliver solutions in the security area.
- Execute security architectures for cloud environments.
- Responsible for automating cloud security controls.
- Evaluate new technologies against established requirements and validate the security of the technology..
- Managing cryptography and encryption of data in the cloud.
- Implementing identity and access management and securely configuring cloud environments.
- Logging, monitoring, and responding to detected incidents in the cloud environment.
- Other Cloud Security Security duties as required
**Qualifications/Experience Required**:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in information security
- Experience with at least one of the major cloud service providers (CSPs): Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience or knowledge in information security (e.g.
: Identity & Access Management, SSL certification, and key management, security platform administration, security incident response)
- Experience or knowledge of cloud security compliance
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, scripting languages like Python
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, and Cyber Security preferred
- Hands-on technical experience with at least one cloud platform in security or infrastructure implementation and operations
- Experience with OWASP and cloud security tools.
- Comfortable working in a highly agile work environment and adapt as business challenges evolve
