Job Description
Yayasan Bambu Lestari (Environmental Bamboo Foundation – EBF) is a non-profit organization founded by environmental activist Linda Garland in 1993. Yayasan Bambu Lestari aims to protect tropical forests in a way to promote a variety of conservation activities and opportunities development through bamboo.
Yayasan Bambu Lestari is based in Bali, Indonesia, and affiliated with International Bamboo Foundation (IBF) in the United States and the Netherlands, two organizations that are also focused on spreading the word about bamboo.
Yayasan Bambu Lestari focuses on international development, through consultation and education, conservation research, agroforestry projects, watershed reclamation rivers, plantation development, and policymaking. Recently Yayasan Bambu Lestari members have used their time and resources them to lift bamboo as an environmental solution.
We are looking for an engineer with 10 years expreinces and who can preform necessary structural testing for development of housing prototypes, doing research and development for prototype. We will prefer to a candidate who has experience working on construction sites, has knowledge with building permits in Indonesia, has experience in timber construction. Candidates who has knowledge of bamboo will be highly beneficial. He/she must be able to communicate in English fluently.
