Chief Risk Officer

This is about focusing on the operational details, processes, systems, and strategies necessary for us to grow our user base sustainably by helping us to design and manage operational, technical and financial risk areas.
Specifically, this includes ownership of and driving of:
Design of risk management framework – design and deploy an evolving, learning risk framework which is data driven
Policies and Procedures – Be the process owner for all key SOPs and ensure that each function continuously monitor, report and improve upon their ‘material risk’ exposures
Loan book resource allocation and management - Rigorous (yet uncomplicated) prioritization and allocation of financial capital to ensure investments are being made in the right places to deliver to our plan;
Scaling operational capacity - Increasing operational capacity efficiently and quickly (via use of new processes, systems, suppliers, technologies);
Building systems around data - Leading efforts to educate and build a systems-driven culture that focuses us on what capabilities will produce improved results rather than just the results;
Performance management - Creating a performance-driven culture that attracts, retains and rewards phenomenal people;
To REALLY impress us, you will have a working knowledge of machine learning techniques with experience building advanced data systems (data lakes, data mediation) in the context of financial services institutions.
Qualifications:
5+ years of senior leadership experience with a proven track record of driving performance in consumer and small business lending
Early experience in either accounting, economics, legal, or actuarial roles is a requirement
