At Caterpillar’s Indonesia Batam, we manufacture Hydraulic Shovels products used in building the infrastructure and mining to move materials that makes a better world.
As the Assistant Accountant in Business Resources, you will:
Support primarily on material costing, material source change, purchase price variance tracking and project support as part of Business Resource function.
Analyzes and provides corrective action for various cost systems generated grief; accepts or rejects purchase orders and quotes; analyzes material overrides and reconciles material purchase order grief.
Provides support in developing semiannual Projected Manufacturing Cost & Margin (PMCM) Statements through analyzing current cost system output as appropriate for anticipated Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing changes; calculating total product cost; analyzing product costs with emphasis on comparability and reasonableness and presents the product costs in a comprehensive and consistent manner that is easily understood by the user.
Gathers components of product costs from various sources including Bills of Material, drawings, Production Routings, Purchase Quotes etc. and Calculates total product costs. Analyzes product costs for comparability and reasonableness and provides explanation of all significant changes from prior estimates and/or current models and presents total product costs to user.
Supports Staff Accountant in performing economic analysis on various product sources and methods of manufacture.
Develops cost data for a variety of users relative to pricing requests, cost reduction teams, sourcing reviews, price list changes and design alternatives.
The successful candidate must bring:
Proficient in English
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
A working knowledge of SAP.
