The Role Responsibilities Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy AWS applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modelling, and advanced analytics Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity Writing shell scripts for automation of daily activities, server monitoring and requests from application teams. Configure and deploy VM’s on Virtualization infra. Disaster recovery planning and executing drills with teams located at other location. Working with information security team for closing vulnerabilities using patch management tools. Working with Storage Team for new LUN allocation and troubleshooting LUN related issues. Configuring, managing and monitoring of backups jobs on EMC Networker backup tool and troubleshooting in case of backup failures. Performing Root cause Analysis on recurring issues on server and backup infrastructure. Co-coordinating with respective teams in cases of hardware and OS related issues. Actively working for alerts generated for CPU, Memory and Disk utilizations and take corrective actions. Ensure SLAs defined for business are met. Updating and maintain Hardware asset registers for Internal and External audits Systems administration, maintenance and monitoring various day-to-day operations. User administration and managing the users like user account creation, deletion and troubleshooting user login problems. Installing, Configuring & Managing Apache, Nginx, & Tomcat Web Servers. Processes administration and management like monitoring, start/stop/kill various processes/sub process. Scheduling of automatic repetitive Jobs with Cron tab. Working in DNS process, Configuring Mail servers postfix and send-mail., Configuring and managing Network interface. Configuring & maintaining the NFS server. Installing the RPM’s as per the request. Create folder and set full rights or Limited rights. Automated routine tasks and critical administration tasks using shell scripts. Experienced in monitoring system performance on slowness issues. Creating Email Address and configuring in Users system. Our Ideal Candidate Education - Degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent Excellent verbal and written communications skills Good knowledge of release process and control procedures. Strong experience in dealing with geographically diverse teams globally
Technical :
Hands on experience in Development using Dev-Ops toolchain JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Rundeck, ansible, Shell scripts etc., Added advantage: AWS, Containerised, Python & Docker. Proficiency in using JIRA for issue tracking (SCRUM boards) Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification a plus. (Other cloud-related certification also a plus.) Red-Hat Linux Certification is a plus Five years’ experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++ or Ruby. Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS. Experience working with OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Rackspace, Docker and Microsoft Azure. Three to five years’ experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related position. Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC. Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
