About You:We are looking for anAccounting Assistant. The ideal candidate must have an outgoing personality, be assertive, and be able to maintain a high level of professional conduct.
Compensation/Benefits:Competitive pay ranging from $17-$20/hour depending on qualifications. Essential Functions:
Business-to-business collections: Monitor client accounts to identify over-due payments, and contact them to arrange payment
Professionally handle communications with clients and vendors via phone or email
Assist with account reconciliation and be able to research and resolve discrepancies
Understand, or ability to learn, sales and use tax as it pertains to the construction and service industry
Process cash applications, lien waiver requests, monthly statements, and other Accounts Receivable related tasks
Assist with audits and other ad hoc projects and tasks as requested
Assist with maintenance of client and vendor records
Perform office tasks such as filing, data entry, answering phones

High School Diploma, a minimum of a 2-year degree in Accounting is preferred
Competency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, PC Skills, and 10-key
Strong communication and organization skills
High rate of accuracy and ability to self-audit
Maintain a high level of professional conduct including honesty, integrity, and professional appearance
Team player, and an ability to remain positive and motivated
2-3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred
Familiar with basic accounting principles is preferred
